Summer Camps
The Town of Hempstead's six-week day camp for children and adults with special needs, running for over 50 years and serving around 720 participants each summer at Lido Beach Town Park. Genuinely full-featured, not just a watered-down program: sports, arts & crafts, drama, music, clubs, and ocean/pool time, plus surfing and equine (horseback riding) therapy. Open to ages 5+, transportation provided, and they also run Saturday and weeknight programming the rest of the year, not just summer.
